Although it was a good fundraising opportunity, we have officially cancelled our booth at the Habitat Music Fest on August 25 due to a lack of interest. We had only received 6 positive responses from folks saying they xcould work the booth, and since the concerts ran from 12:00-late, 6 people just weren't enough to spread out over a minimum of 6 hours and do it right. So we'll try it again soon... watch out for a fun new fundraiser to be announced soon!

The HHS Band Boosters voted unanimously to establish the Michael Billington Memorial Scholarship, at their April meeting. CLICK HERE for more information regarding Michael and the scholarship that will honor him.

The 21st Annual Band Boosters Tricky Tray is done and put to bed with un-official totals so far coming in at about $7,500. A nice return considering there were two other Tricky Trays in the area the same night to compete with and our attendance was down substantially because of them. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and generosity. As the spring winds down, we'll be dissecting the event in preparation to, yes, begin planning for next year's tricky tray! And we have more fun and games coming your way in the near future, so keep your eyes open and get ready to join in on the fun, and WATCH THE CALENDAR for upcoming events including the 2007 Spring Bands Concerts, the 2007 Band Awards Dinner, and summer events still being planned.

Has your band member been participating in the various fundraisers? You can get an up-to-date accounting, pardon the pun, of their student account balance by simply emailing our treasurer at hhstigerbands@verizon.net with the word, "treasurer", or the name, "Nadine", in the subject line, and your request will be automatically forwarded to Nadine Cory, our treasurer. ALL SENIORS should contact her to let her know how you prefer to have the un-used portion of your account dispersed.

THANK YOU to all of the band kids and parents who helped us by providing 8 food baskets to the December Norwescap Food Drive! Our community does a lot for us, and it was really nice for us to be able to give something back! And we'll be doing a lot more in the future, so get ready.

We're in the process of attempting to start the first HHS Band Alumni Association and we're searching for former HHS band members to help us get things underway. Can you help us out? We appreciate all of our band members, both past and current, and we appreciate your help in tracking them down! Thank you!
