SENT 08/23/07 TO Mr. Ferranti, the MB Staff, and "THE" BAND
I had meant to thank Mr. Ferranti and the staff and congratulate the kids on all their hard work and a job well done but because Bill was too far away to feed me my lines I forgot. Sorry Bill, I'm sure you were over there
thinking ARGH, what is she thinking? So without further adieu I would just like to thank
Mr. Ferranti and his staff for all their hard work and dedication. The sharing of your time and the guidance you gave not to mention the lessons you taught will always remain with your
students; Thank You All! I would also like around of applause for the band.
Very cool guys! Maybe you should teach the parents the button factory song?
I know Mrs. Murray would love to learn it! The show sounds great and you all looked terrific.
It's going to be an awesome season! See you Wednesday and every Friday....most Saturdays...second
Tuesday's... well you get the picture! :) El Presidente (AKA Susan Santamaria)

SENT 08/27/07 TO Everyone in the Band
A shout-out to everyone that I happen to randomly include:
Let’s start with drum line. DRUMLINE 0’7 yeah! We have been through so much already! We are strong and have a bunch to work on, but we can
do it! Everyone is so talented! Gary’s improvement over the past year is immeasurable! Katie is a beast being able to switch instruments like that and
Kristi is awesome just because she hangs in there and because she is my sister. Ha-ha. And of course, Brian. Even though I am a pain in the rear most
of the time (okay always), Brian deals with it and he is so talented that it is a shame we can’t have him play with drum line. He will still ALWAYS be
a member, so we don’t have a four person drum line, we still have five!
All my new friends. Sam, great job, you sound awesome and you are a lot of fun. Alicia you are amazing and so crazy and cool. (I will try
to always have Chewy bars for you.) Katie, I mentioned you already but, you are so cool and talented, I look forward to the future years with you in drum
line! Becky you are one cool girl and I don’t know you too well, but that will change.
: Ed, you are awesome! I have never heard you complain and you are always happy and I like that. Chelsea, I heart you- you are a great person and friend and I am so happy I was able to talk you into joining. Ha-ha.
John, you are really cool and you should be a plumber with how you fixed (5?) toilets in our cabin. Kevin is a cool guy, cool friend and I am glad to
have you as a friend. If I forgot anyone, I am sorry.
The staff this year is amazing! Mark, I mean Mr. Richardson is always happy and puts everyone in front of himself, and he is an awesome dancer.
(I hope you were able to get all the glitter out. Sorry) Mrs. Bellew is amazing and also an awesome dancer with our dance to Karn Evil 9. Mr. MacDowell
might think I am a little insane, but he is awesome anyway. (Hope your finger feels better.) Mrs. Valenti is an awesome singer and I will always try to
play those songs for you on the quints,--Cupid’s Chokehold-- (I will have to think of other ones.) Mrs. Wichtendahl is cool and she has somehow been able
to survive having to deal with all three Hahns in one year. She will help me do pranks all season, so watch out! Ferranti, ah, Mr. Ferranti. What can
I write on here about him. He gave me my recent nickname that everyone calls me, Smashley, and I'd love to know how it came to be. And he is usually
in the mood to joke around with me, so he has a good sense of humor which can be fun. Katherine, the drum major is awesome. WE CAN DO IT! -haha. Bops
you are so talented and just to let you know, your foot exercise was stuck in my head for like an hour today.--(Feel the burn now!)
BAND IN TOTAL! I love all of you, you are all so talented. With the stress of upcoming school, band and life in general, I wrote this to keep
everyone peppy and pumped amisdt times where we can lose spirit! After all, people proclaimed that as my official job, the band
cheerleader. Really though,
we can and will succeed! Just for memories sake “YEAH BAND CAMP WOOO-HOOO”!
Love, Smashley, the quint player

Importantly, what would I want to say that she didn't already say?! But
anyway, just a quick fundraising shout out to everyone who pitched in last
night; you know who you are! Thanks to you, we totaled over $350 last
night, and it was kind of a slow night! And how about that Maureen; is she
a pit bull with those Tiger Grams, or what? But a very nice pit
bull! But thank you everyone! And we'll be looking forward to having
the rest of you who didn't make it last night, to help at the next game on
